Welcome to Tribute Coffee, a cozy haven nestled in the heart of Kyoto, Japan. Tucked away on the third floor of a discreet building, this charming café offers a delightful escape from the bustling streets below. With its intimate setting and warm ambiance, Tribute Coffee promises not just a beverage, but an experience that resonates with coffee lovers and casual patrons alike.

As you step inside, the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee envelops you, creating an atmosphere that is both comforting and invigorating. The space accommodates around 20 guests, ensuring a quiet retreat where you can truly savor each sip. The soft music playing in the background harmonizes perfectly with the chilled atmosphere, allowing guests to relax and unwind.

Tribute Coffee takes pride in its thoughtfully curated menu, focusing on quality over quantity. Among their star offerings is the アイスコーヒー (Iced Coffee), a refreshing treat that showcases the café's commitment to excellence. Customers rave about the black coffee, which boasts a clean, medium-dark roasted body with a pleasant bitterness, making it both refreshing and grounding. Pair it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent twist, as Yasuやす mentions in their review. It’s a simple yet elegant combination that elevates the experience, leaving your taste buds dancing with joy.

Don’t miss out on their exquisite scones and gelato—a pairing celebrated by Ashley as a “great deal.” The café’s ice cream is highlighted as “superb,” especially after a long day of exploring Kyoto’s humid streets. For those seeking something sweet yet unique, try their pudding, noted by Nina Angela Zarraga as a creamy delight reminiscent of coffee jelly. And if you're a coffee purist, Lorenzo's endorsement of their espresso speaks volumes about the skill of the barista.

One of the cafe's few quirks is that it’s cash only, a charming detail that adds to its nostalgic feel. Each moment spent at Tribute Coffee is designed to make you feel at home, whether you’re relaxing alone with a book or catching up with friends.

Ultimately, Tribute Coffee is more than just a café; it’s a cozy retreat where attention to detail shines, inviting you to linger over your coffee as you take in the surrounding tranquility. If you find yourself wandering through the vibrant streets of Kyoto, consider making Tribute Coffee a stop on your journey—you may just discover your new favorite spot in the city.

In a discreet building in Kyoto, they offered a cozy and hidden gem space where attention to detail shines through both in its atmosphere and offerings. I had their black coffee paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream—simple, yet thoughtfully served. Their coffee had a clean, medium-dark roasted body with a nice bitterness, making it both refreshing and grounding. The ceramic cup felt warm in the hand and added a quiet elegance to the experience. Their ice cream, served in a glass bowl with a couple of wafers, was silky and not overly sweet. It created a lovely contrast to the bitterness of the coffee. This pairing was a subtle delight—unfussy but satisfying

As you enter the room the smell of good coffe hits you. The place is not big about 20+ people with good quiet music. You get a cozy feeling when you sit down. The coffe itself is excellent. Payment is only cash.

Lovely and quiet!! café. Perfect to dos Connect form the busy touristy nearby market. The Batista knows whats he’s doing. Quality coffee, and the espresso might be the best one I’ve had in Japan these last weeks so far. Recommend!!

Such a cozy place! Stumbled upon this coffee shop (thank God for their huge sign outside the building) while walking to Gyukatsu Motomura. Vibes was so homey and they serve good coffee. Their pudding is more of a coffee jelly but is really good and creamy. My husband got the banana smoothie and he liked it as well. Brought home a bag of beans. Worth the visit to just chill. Cash only

Cute cafe hidden right in the center of a very busy part of Kyoto. The ice cream they offer here is superb! Tastes even better after escaping the humidity. The scones are also incredible, I got the scone and gelato set I think it’s a great deal!

Great place for a coffee and rest. The vibe is chilled, dimly lit, walnut furniture, the smell of smokey coffee beans and quiet jazz. It's different from a western coffee place, here you sit and enjoy - things aren't going to be quick. They have an English menu and it's cash only!

Almost don't want to leave a review here so the place won't get too busy in the future. It's a quaint shop that is pretty relaxed and quiet most of the time. The shop owner has the occasional assistant but will be making your hand drip coffee by himself. He's very meticulous about the process and very careful when serving you your food. I would definitely recommend trying the sweets on the menu (availability dependent on whether it's weekend or weekday) because those have always been really delicious. My favourite coffee spot in Kyoto!

Amazing coffee.. for those lucky enough to not be lactose intolerant, you must try the coffee with milk. Very creamy and rich with a nutty flavour Also, this is a sit down cafe that takes cash only.
